A Physicist Investigates the Left: Reviewing ‘Left Imperialism: From Cardinal Richelieu to Klaus Schwab’

“All branches of Leftism, including Communism, Socialism, Fascism, Statism, Marxism, Trotskyism, Maoism, and National Socialism” share a common ancestor, Gary Gindler argues in his new book, ‘Left Imperialism: From Cardinal Richelieu to Klaus Schwab’.

Blending political philosophy and a history of ideology, ‘Left Imperialism’ dives into the origins of the globalist leftist movements and their fundamental opposition to American conservatism.

The Left has been on an apocalyptic collision course with America and the free world for its entire existence, but ‘Left Imperialism’ traces its evolution as an ideology from local class warfare to a global movement, from seeking socialism within a nation to global socialism that permeates the world as a network of ideological institutions dominating the planet.

A former Soviet physicist who helped pioneer the Russian internet, Gary Gindler has long been a voice of reasoned political analysis in this country. And in ‘Left Imperialism, he delves into the waves of political change and the larger transformative ideological phenomena behind them.

Gindler focuses his analysis on the supreme power of the state over the individual and the clash of power relations between the government and the governed. From high taxes to state control and then ownership of private enterprises, the power of the state expands, like a balloon filling with air to simultaneously dominate the space within its sphere and to crowd out everything else. Socialism invariably leads to totalitarianism because the assertion of control is foundational to its agenda which requires organizing society through the manipulation of people and institutions in order to achieve its desired economic outcomes.

Some leftist movements, Gindler notes, may take different approaches and strategies in their choice of control mechanisms. Some for example may tax income while others control enterprises, but without the ability to determine economic outcomes, their theories cannot be implemented and their existence therefore has no function and carries no purpose.

The obsession with extending that control is not confined to nations, but to all spheres of human activity, to culture and competition, but even across the unknowable fourth dimension of time.

“Redefining the past—including the destruction of the past—has become a norm nowadays,” Gindler observes. “Note that both the Left and the Right cannot foretell the future, but the Left complicates matters by making the past unpredictable as well.”

Gindler defines the Left as producing “directionless” mutations in social evolution and the legacy of failed Marxist and Communist schemes for the betterment of society make  all too obvious that this is true. And thus the Left cannot permit itself to know the past, let alone be able to accurately predict the future. Like an addict, it must exist in the rush of anticipated future pleasures, in the intellectual challenge of envisioning its schemes as historically inevitable, to avoid bumping up against the realities of the past and the present. Never mind the actual future.

The Left believes that there is a right side to history and that it knows what that side is, but history is not a finished product, but a collision of forces in which its role is largely destructive, rather than constructive, bringing eras to an end, more than ushering in ‘brave new’ ones.

“The Left symbolizes a philosophy of dissonance when stated objectives, operating methods, and end results conflict with one another. That dissonance is a fundamental feature, not a bug, of Leftism,” Gindler writes, describing the Left as “an ideological autoimmune disease”.

Not only the destructiveness, but the self-destructiveness of the Left, has been noted before. And historically leftist regimes invariably implode in one form or another. Leftist ideologues, when given free rein, turn on each other in an endless purge, similar to that of the French Revolution, the early years of the Soviet Union, or the current infighting in the American Left, unless they are interrupted by a strongman figure, a Stalin, capable of bringing them into line.

Furthermore, the Left tends to appeal most deeply to certain personalities who are both anarchic and megalomaniacal, seeking absolute and total license, as well as absolute and total power over others. The dissonance at the heart of leftist ideas, that Gindler describes, may also speak to the dissonant personalities that embrace them, deliberately confusing ends and means, pretending to liberate when they enslave, and to destroy what they claim to save..

In  ‘Left Imperialism’, Gindler contends that the destructiveness of the Left is due to its inherent intellectual, strategic and philosophical conflicts. And that those inherent conflicts are tearing apart the movement, uniting it around little more than its ‘oppositionism’ to everything else.

“The mosaic of heterogeneous groups under one Leftist umbrella has reached a critical mass. The farther society moves away from Marx’s predictions, the more modifications and generalizations of the dogma are needed, and the more intense the internecine warfare is. Different cohorts of ‘oppressed victims of capitalism’ cannot find common ground with other ‘oppressed victims’ or a broad spectrum of abundant self-appointed victims. Anti-conservatism is the solitary umbilical cord that allows the modern Left to show at least an illusion of unity,” he argues.

Intersectionality, meant to provide a hierarchy of victimhood, has been shown to be a fraud. And the only remaining enduring hierarchy is the revolutionary imperative that drives leftism with its need to overturn everything that is. That may be why the Left has come out for Hamas. In my own Victim Value Index, I have argued that the overriding factor is “disruptiveness” and that “those who are most disruptive go to the head of the line.” This is in line with a movement that claims to be creating when it is actually destroying.

While the hope that the Left will destroy itself is not the most optimistic of possibilities, it remains a fact that it must inevitably destroy itself. In ‘Left Imperialism’, Gary Gindler sketches his own theory of the possibilities of conservatism as a positive and constructive force that drives social evolution rather than subverting it as the Left does. And as such, Gindler combines his intellectual and philosophical history of the development of political ideas with a painstakingly categorized taxonomy of their implications on modern events. And it is a thesis that is ultimately optimistic.

No driving on the weekends?

Germany’s transport minister (and progressive politician), Volker Wissing, last month vowed to ban driving on weekends to meet Germany’s climate-related goals. It’s either do that or else he wants the ruling coalition to pass more restrictions within the Climate Protection Act come July.

According to the German newspaper BILD, as cited by Politico, Wissing penned a letter to the coalition’s parliamentary group leaders, in which he bemoaned the fact that the reforms haven’t yet been approved.

Wissing, whose initials are ironically those of Germany’s most famous auto maker told BILD, according to the Politico report that: “This serves neither the climate nor the reputation of the federal government.”

He added that reducing traffic to achieve climate goals would mandate measures such as “comprehensive and indefinite driving bans on Saturdays and Sundays.”

A government telling its citizens that they can’t drive on weekends would seem like a hard sell at best, but then again we obeyed similar — and even more intrusive — measures during the COVID pandemic lockdowns.

Personal automobiles, long a symbol of freedom and prosperity, especially in the United States, are coming under increasing attack, as are the internal combustion engines which have historically propelled them. Moreover, there is proposed legislation in the works to equip all vehicles with absolute speed governors, to make it easier for government entities to “spy” on drivers, and to even simply shut off vehicles if Big Brother doesn’t care for the way you’re driving. Etc. In many urban areas, car lanes are being pushed aside in favor of bike and foot paths. The elderly, handicapped, and infirm? The hell with them, apparently.

Woke Scalp: England Courtrooms Look to Ban Wigs for Being ‘Culturally Insensitive’ to People With African Hair

Courts in England are reportedly looking to scrap the requirement for barristers to wear traditional wigs amid claims that they discriminate against lawyers with “Afro-Caribbean hair”.

The iconic manner of dress in English courtrooms may become wokism’s latest scalp as demands have been made to abandon the requirement of barristers to wear wigs in front of the court because they are “culturally insensitive”, The Telegraph reports.

A common practice dating back to at least 1685, the wearing of wigs came under scrutiny following an incident in 2022 when Michael Etienne, a black barrister with a large afro hairstyle, claimed that he faced being in contempt of court if he refused to wear a wig while claiming that the demand represented a form of “hair discrimination”.

While wigs are still required in the crown court, the Court of Appeal, and the High Court, the requirement was ended in 2007 for family, civil and Supreme Court cases in 2007.

Arguing in favour of scrapping the tradition entirely, mixed-race barrister Rachel Bale said that wigs are “not fit for purpose” for people with some black hairstyles.

“Something overlooked often in black culture is that your hair is so inexplicably important and it is completely interwoven with your identity,” she claimed.

Prominent barrister Leslie Thomas KC, also of African descent, has described the wigs as a “ridiculous costume” which allegedly represents the “culturally insensitive climate” in the British judicial system.

“The wigs certainly should go. There isn’t any place in a modern society for barristers to be wearing 17th-century fashion,” he said this week, adding that other “archaic” dress code items should also be scrapped, including bands, collarettes, and wing collars.

A spokesman for the Bar Council said: “Following questions from barristers about wigs and hair discrimination, the Bar Council set up a working group to consider court dress in the context of all protected characteristics.

“The findings of the working group are currently being discussed with the judiciary as part of our regular dialogue on equality and diversity matters.”

Three police vehicles arrived at the scene very quickly. In the meantime, the man, who was said to have behaved in a threatening manner, had not attacked anyone else. The police tracked him down and tried to arrest him, but he refused to be detained.

According to the police, they had to use their stun gun to force him to give in. After using their stun gun, the police found the knife he had been carrying outside the bakery.

Germany’s FDP drops local candidate after pornographic videos go viral

The German Free Democratic Party (FDP) has expelled a local candidate after videos of him performing sex acts surfaced online.

The Liberal politician is seen singing the first verse of the one-time anthem Deutschlandlied (“Deutschland, Deutschland über alles“), which has long been outlawed in Germany, while enacting his explicit antics.

He also desecrated a Quran in a fetishistic manner.

Numerous pornographic videos associated with him were removed from X due to violations of the platform’s Terms of Service.

The former candidate has now deleted all his social media accounts, although clips of these videos persist in circulation across the internet.

Due the extreme nature of the recordings, a criminal investigation had been initiated against him, German news outlet Focus reported.

German media reported that the man’s exhibitionist tendencies went back years.

In a statement on May 15, the local branch of the FDP, Aalen-Ellwangen, stressed that the content concerned was not known to party officials until it was published online.

On the evening of May 16, the party stated: “We wish to inform you of the latest developments concerning the recently reported incident: The candidate involved is no longer a member of the FDP.”

A spokesman for the FDP association also said: “It is extremely frustrating that the voluntary work of our members and supporters in the local election campaign is so badly damaged by the incidents from the private life of a candidate that now become known.”

In a newspaper article, two former jurors of the prestigious Berlin International Literature Prize have lamented anti-white racism at the last award ceremony. ‘It was about nationality, ethnicity, skin colour, politics and not about literature,’ commented Juliane Liebert and Ronya Othmann in an article for the newspaper Die Zeit. Both were members of the prize’s seven-member jury last year.

Specifically, the two former judges report several racist and sexist statements and decisions within the jury. For example, Liebert was insulted by another juror by saying ‘As a white woman, you have nothing to say here anyway!’. When choosing the shortlist, the majority of the jury members had spoken out against the authors Mariette Navarro and Peter Nadas because Navarro is a ‘white French woman’ and Nadas a ‘white man and privileged white author’. Literary quality did not play a role in the decision. Instead, one juror is said to have emphasised: ‘Sorry, I love literature, but politics is more important.’

The winner Mohamed Mbougar Sarr also received the prize for racist reasons. His novel ‘Die geheimste Erinnerung der Menschen’ is a deserving winner from a literary point of view, say Liebert and Othmann. However, the jury primarily decided in favour of Sarr because he is black and although both of his translators are white. White people generally cannot translate black authors, according to the jury, which ultimately chose Sarr as the winner despite these reservations.

The 35,000 euro prize is awarded by the Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW) and the Elementarteilchen Foundation. According to Liebert and Othmann, several HKW employees took part in the meeting to select the shortlist and even moderated it. The two former jurors report that they also voiced their criticism to the HKW management around artistic director Bonaventure Soh Bejeng Ndikung. Unlike the majority of their former colleagues, they were not reappointed to the jury this year.

The increase in offences classified as ‘anti-Christian’ can be gleaned from two parliamentary statements made by the German government in Berlin in response to parliamentary enquiries from the AfD. According to these, 135 anti-Christian offences were recorded in the police statistics on politically motivated crime throughout Germany in 2022. According to preliminary figures, 277 such cases were recorded in 2023, including 55 incidents involving damage to property.
The increase cannot be explained across the board, a spokesperson for the Federal Ministry of the Interior told the German Press Agency. Pakistani Christian activist gets death threats after Islamists falsely accuse him of blasphemy

A Pakistani Christian activist named Faraz Pervaiz, who is known for highlighting cases of religious persecution against minorities, has been getting Sarr Tann Se Juda (STSJ) threats from Islamic extremists residing in Pakistan.

Pervaiz, who has been living as a refugee in Thailand for 10 years now, spoke to OpIndia about the death threats, issued by the radical Islamist party Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) on dubious charges of blasphemy.

During a telephonic conversation, the activist informed, “I and my father Pervaiz Roshan had hosted a Twitter space discussion on 14th April 2024 during which we talked about the need for Christians, especially Pakistanis, to extend support to Israel in their fight against Hamas.”

“We also highlighted that Hamas is an Islamic terror outfit which has unleashed jihad against the Jewish nation of Israel,” he added. Faraz began receiving death threats from Islamists following the conclusion of the Twitter spaces.

The extremists accused him of insulting Prophet Muhammad, spreading ‘hatred’ against Muslims and mocking the tenets of Islam. Soon after, Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) issued a fatwa to murder the Christian activist and his father for committing ‘blasphemy’.

The radical Islamist party also announced a reward of 20 million PKR (~ USD 72,180) for Muslims willing to travel to Thailand and murder the family of Faraz Pervaiz.

“On 26th April, I learnt that a fatwa for murder was issued by TLP. They printed the posters and pasted them in and around Christian colonies in various cities of Pakistan,” Faraz told OpIndia during the telephone conversation.

“Given that many Pakistanis believe that murder for avenging blasphemy brings shabaab (youthfulness/prime of manhood), I am scared that they would come to Thailand to kill me,” he lamented.

Faraz’s close confidantes in Pakistan have sent him over 50 images of the dreadful posters, asking ‘Prophet lovers’ to contact TLP and execute his murder.

Details of the fatwa by Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan

OpIndia was able to obtain the English translation of the fatwa (originally written in Urdu) issued by Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) against Faraz Pervaiz, his father Pervaiz Roshan, his younger brother Mukhzan Pervaiz and other family members.

Pervaiz family was persecuted for not awarding Hafiz Saeed

During our telephonic conversation with Faraz Pervaiz, he narrated the circumstances that forced him to leave Pakistan and find refugee 3,596 km away in Thailand.

The activist and his father Roshan Pervaiz were associated with the ‘Hallelujah Evangelistic Association’ in Lahore. In June 2011, Roshan Pervaiz organised a cultural event named ‘Benazir Peace Award’ in collaboration with a local NGO (Save Humanity Organization).

The director of the NGO wanted Roshan Pervaiz to award the Peace Prize to terrorist and 26/11 mastermind Hafeez Saeed. When the father of the Christian activist refused to entertain such demands, he and his family received death threats from Islamic extremists.

Faraz Pervaiz informed that a Muslim mob ambushed their house a few days after the incident and brutally thrashed him and his father. The frenzied mob took them to a nearby police station where a First Information Report (FIR) was pre-filed based on dubious charges.

The life of a Christian minority in Pakistan

The Christian activist told OpIndia that his father Roshan Pervaiz had previously received threats for organising a “Gospel Music and Peace Award Show” in Lahore in October 2006.

The then Governor in Punjab had threatened him against preaching Christianity in the ‘land of the pure.’ The religious persecution of the Pervaiz family did not stop there.

Following an arson attack by Islamists in Joseph Colony of Lahore in 2013, Faraz Pervaiz visited the Christian neighbourhood to provide relief.

“A District Council Officer came up to me and told me to leave immediately. I remember him saying – I will burn you in this fire,” the Christian activist recounted.

The family of Pervaiz was attacked in June 2013, dragged to the Nishtar Police station in Lahore and falsely implicated in a blasphemy case. Faraz had to spend 6 months in detention before being released.

Life as a refugee in Thailand

Forced by circumstances, he bid adieu to Pakistan forever in April 2014. Despite staying away in far-flung Thailand, death threats from radical Islamists continue to haunt him.

In 2017, another attempt was made to implicate the Christian activist in a false blasphemy case. A year later, a reward of 10 million PKR (~USD 36090) was announced by Jama’at-ud-Da’wah (JuD) “for a Muslim who will kill Mr. Pervaiz”.

Doxxing and threats to murder Pervaiz family in Thailand followed in the years 2019, 2020 and 2021. “Revenge has no age, time or boundaries. It provocates immediately and its consequences are entirely dangerous,” Faraz said, adding that his family continues to live in fear.

Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan, STSJ and its influence in India

Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), the extremist party that issued the fatwa against Faraz Pervaiz, was founded in 2015 by a notorious Islamic cleric named Khadim Hussain Rizvi (1955-2020).

During his lifetime, Rizvi launched several campaigns to preserve the draconian blasphemy laws in Pakistan. He was a follower of 19th-century Islamic preacher, Imam Ahmed Raza Khan Barelvi (the founder of the Barelvi sect).

TLP has been involved in several violent protests in Pakistan. They have killed law enforcement authorities and even coined the dangerous slogan of ‘Sarr Tann se Juda (beheading)’ for committing blasphemy (often described with Urdu terms such as ‘Toheen-e-Mazhab’ and ‘Gustaak-e-Rasool’).

TLP founder Khadim Hussain Rizvi has been the inspiration for several criminals, who committed murders of alleged blasphemers. In March 2019, a Muslim student named Khateeb Hussain stabbed his English Professor in Bahawalpur City of Pakistan after falsely accusing the latter of blasphemy.

“Hussain’s eagerness to take credit for the murder paints an alarming picture of a boy who was inspired by videos of preacher Khadim Hussain Rizvi and possibly radicalised through social media,” a report in Dawn stated.

In 2018, another student in Chārsadda town of Pakistan shot dead his school Principal after accusing him of committing blasphemy. “I committed this murder and I accepted it. It was ordered by God (Allah),” the unnamed student confessed. He had attended meetings conducted by TLP in 2017.

The war cry of ‘Sarr Tann se Juda (STSJ)’ has been weaponised by radical Islamists residing in India to orchestrate attacks against the Hindu community.

In November 2023, Lareb Hashmi attacked a 24-year-old Hindu bus conductor with a cleaver on allegations of ‘blasphemy’. He was inspired by the teachings of Khadim Hussain Rizvi.

Islamists have also killed Kamlesh Tiwari, Kanhaiya Lal, Kishan Bharwad and other Hindus in the name of ‘Gustaak-e-Rasool.’

Lessons from COVID Totalitarianism

The COVID police state revealed Western governments’ zeal for totalitarianism.  Forced masking, forced experimental injections, forced school and business closures, forced isolation, and forced compliance provided Western citizens an opportunity to see the tyrannical inclinations hiding just beneath the surface of their supposedly beneficent “democracies.”

None of it was pretty.  Mass propaganda disguised as medical expertise (remember when Joe Biden and his CDC army of Goebbels clones demanded that we wear three or more masks outside?) and mass censorship of social media conversations (because, we were frequently told, disinformation kills!) proved that — when push comes to shove — Western governments will quickly dispense with protections for free speech.  Wannabe dictators (intent on protecting “democracy” by being authoritarian) embraced their true “Do as we say!” dispositions and branded the public’s rights and liberties as “enemies of the State.”

Officials summarily punished anyone who resisted COVID’s descending Iron Curtain.  Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau seized the bank accounts and property titles of Freedom Convoy protesters.  Videos from Australia and New Zealand showing police forces blocking roads, securing quarantine camps, and pushing citizens back into their homes looked like scenes from a Mad Max movie.  California Democrats buried skateparks in sand, cordoned off jungle-gyms with yellow crime tape, and arrested lone surfers paddling in the ocean.  Abandoning moderation and constitutional constraints, Western totalitarians embraced intimidation, coercion, and surveillance on a wide scale.  

Throughout the West, governments prohibited places of worship from conducting religious services, recorded license plate numbers of congregants, and issued excessive fines to clergy.  Those same governments prevented families from comforting hospitalized loved-ones and forced spouses, parents, and grandparents to die heartbroken and alone.  In other words, Western officials tore families apart, inflicted tremendous emotional pain upon the most vulnerable, and denied the anguished any access to spiritual refuge.  It is no surprise that such intentional government malice produced skyrocketing rates of alcohol and drug addiction, lifelong psychological traumas, and a burgeoning epidemic of suicide.

So-called Western “democracies” masked their rank authoritarianism behind trite catchphrases such as, “We’re just following the Science,” or “We’re working at the speed of Science,” or “We trust the Science.”  For all intents and purposes, politicians, health professionals, and media personalities encouraged citizens to mindlessly follow orders and obey Science as this century’s Führer.  Herr Science did his worst.  Economic destruction, social breakdown, and medical apartheid naturally followed.  And while Western governments continue to censor public discussion of these serious issues, the “Reign of COVID Terror” represents the largest international conspiracy to commit crimes against humanity.  If justice as a juridical principle were still alive and kicking, a vast number of government officials and bureaucrats would be defending themselves before Nuremberg-like prosecutions today.  

It should also be noted that while many of governments’ most egregious abuses against citizens are now treated as if they never happened (e.g., it is all the rage these days for politicians and medical professionals to claim that nobody was ever forced to take the experimental clot shots), there are still ample reminders of the West’s foray into COVID totalitarianism.  The world’s largest social media companies (which have all been exposed as surveillance systems and propaganda platforms that variously do the bidding of China, the European Union, or the United States) continue to censor scientific debate regarding the origin of the virus (shocker: it leaked — intentionally or not — from a Chinese lab conducting biological weapons research bankrolled, in part, by the U.S. government), the efficacy of the so-called “vaccines,” and growing evidence that these experimental injections cause a large number of harmful (if not outright deadly) side effects.  Joe Biden stands by his vitriolic attacks against un-“vaccinated” Americans and his dire warning that they would be held personally responsible for the country’s “severe illness and death.”  The Pentagon persists in punishing servicemembers who refuse experimental injections.  The CDC and other health bodies remain ambivalent toward alternative treatment options that do not put big bucks in Big Pharma’s coffers — including long-prescribed drugs such as Ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine and common-sense recommendations regarding diet, vitamin intake, and physical exercise.  The World Health Organization (and its globalist sponsors in the United Nations and World Economic Forum) remains committed to using the public’s irrational fear of COVID as a suitable pretext for ratifying a broad international pandemic treaty that obliterates national sovereignty and places unprecedented economic and regulatory power into the hands of a few imperious “elites.”  Always lingering in the background is the totalitarian craving to issue pandemic passports and institute a digital tracking system on a global scale.  Western governments were so close to electronically tagging citizens during COVID that you can feel the worst offenders’ consternation at having not entirely succeeded.  Make no mistake, the WHO, WEF, and UN will not be happy until we are all branded with this century’s version of the Holocaust tattoo.

Finally, even after four years of viral doomsaying has exhausted most, it is still all too common to find left-leaning businesses in left-leaning cities displaying guilt-tripping signs that beg customers to “mask up” or otherwise obey.  It seems that for those who bought the COVID Hoax hook, line, and sinker, no amount of medical quackery or Big Brother heavy-handedness will convince the indoctrinated to come up from their rabbit holes or back through the looking-glass.  As many a poker player will tell you, if you look around the table and can’t spot the sucker, then you are the sucker.  Unfortunately, too many COVID suckers in the West are still losing while playing at the government’s crooked table.

As Western officials target their own populations with cognitive warfare meant to shape perceptions and manipulate preferences, their use of positive and negative reinforcement on a grand scale has become pervasive.  Under these standard conditioning procedures, authority figures derisively dismiss people who use their brains to evaluate research and make informed decisions as “anti-vaxxers” or “anti-science” rubes.  Conversely, self-described “experts” pat the most obedient among us on the head, tell them how smart they are for believing everything they’re told, and roll out new booster shots as a kind of pharmaceutical reward.  Raise your hand if you’re still standing six feet away from fellow shoppers (even after the “experts” admitted to fabricating that rule out of whole cloth), wearing a mask while driving alone in the car, and injecting your body full of experimental goop.  If so, you’re a boob!

For those who long ago saw through Western governments’ calculated strategy of applying electric shock therapy to freethinkers while handing out toxic cookies to the perpetually-vaxxed, here is something else to ponder for the future.  What we experienced during COVID felt like pure insanity.  Medical doctors betrayed their ethical duties by pushing unnecessary and experimental medical treatments on young and healthy individuals without advising them of potentially catastrophic long-term side effects (otherwise known as obtaining informed consent).  Instead of encouraging people to go outside, engage in physical activity, get some sunshine, and breathe fresh air, municipal tyrants closed playgrounds, ticketed joggers, and trapped people indoors.  When cities such as New York began requiring “vax cards” to move around, a lot of worried people saw what was over the horizon and ran to their local farming store looking for seeds for their home gardens.  Amazingly, some of these stores closed their seed supplies to the public — ostensibly because COVID authoritarians wanted to curtail outdoor activity.  

The next time scientists release a bioweapon, Western governments will return to their 2020 mindset.  They will make a hard push for mandatory injections and digital vaccine passports.  They will cultivate citizens’ dependence on government services by limiting their ability to sustain themselves.  They do not want people growing their own food.  To fight totalitarianism, then, grow a freedom garden.
