Leo XIV intends to visit Peru during the first half of November, Peruvian President José María Balcázar announced following a private audience with the Pope. Peru would be the centerpiece of a broader South American tour that may also include Argentina and Uruguay. Although the Vatican has not yet published an official itinerary, Balcázar said Leo XIV personally confirmed that he plans to be in Peru in November. Jesuit Provincial Fr. Enric Puiggròs said the closure is part of a "restructuring" driven by a lack of vocations and the aging of the order's members. On the campus of the University of Toronto's St. Michael's College, also known as the Catholic University, homosexual symbols are displayed. These include a large banner and a rainbow crosswalk on St. Joseph Street. In a letter dated 2024, the president and vice-chancellor of St. Michael’s College wrote to a Toronto councilor that the student union had requested the rainbow crosswalk and that the administration supported the proposal. Bishop Mutsaerts Has Recovered. Dutch Auxiliary Bishop Rob Mutsaerts' lingering injuries mainly consist of a complicated fracture to his arm and elbow. He told Michael Matt, who described his recovery as incredible given the state of the car after the accident.
