There is no information about who filmed it, when it was recorded, or where exactly. Liège Diocese views the departure “with sadness, but also with deep gratitude.” The first Jesuits arrived in Liège shortly after the founding of the Society of Jesus in 1540. During the 16th century, they established major colleges in the city and helped shape its religious and intellectual life for centuries. In the 19th century, the Jesuits took over the Collège Saint-Servais on Rue Saint-Gilles, which became the center of their work in Liège. The Jesuit community on Rue Saint-Gilles will officially close at the end of the school year.
