Catholics may not knowingly take part in the liturgical celebrations, apostolates, or other activities of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X, Archbishop Shawn McKnight of Kansas City, Kansas, wrote in a July 2 statement following the episcopal consecrations. McKnight noted that the SSPX's ministry "is not legitimate in the life of the Church" and that "the sacraments of Penance and Matrimony administered by them are now invalid." Participation in the worship of the "schismatic" community fosters separation from the Church's communion, he added: "Such participation is not merely discouraged but is gravely contrary to the unity of the Church and, when undertaken with full knowledge and deliberate consent, is sinful." #newsAetnoekkoi
If the Lord was in the Flesh today and walking towards Rome... What would He say about the Vatican and those who lead it? Would He tell them 3 times to feed His sheep, or perhaps, "Woe to thee Rome for losing the faith." Let us remember that our Lord did say: by their fruits you shall know them, and their fruits (the last 2 popes) are a sign of falseness, but the question remains, you see, to me He will surely rip a WOE unto them, but perhaps for you is... feed my sheep. I NO longer consider the Vatican Catholic, that is what i think, as I am and you are the Catholic Church, we need to hold true to our faith in our Lord tjrough what was taught by Hus disciples, saints and patriarchs; the Catholic Church I once knew doesn’t exist anymore with the top; I got to experienced our Lord in a Novus Ordo mass, this is how I started my journey, I never knew of the traditions of old, I was indeed oblivious, BUT that doesn’t mean the Eucharist has stopped, no, well at least not yet (but i will happen …Okuningi

Cardinal López Romero Steps Back Amid Investigation: Spanish-born Cardinal Cristóbal López Romero, Archbishop of Rabat, has stepped back from public ministry after five adult women filed complaints against him. The Vatican has opened a preliminary investigation, while the cardinal denies all allegations. The women accuse López Romero of unwanted physical contact, including prolonged hugs, attempted kisses, and other conduct they describe as sexually inappropriate.
At least five women have accused Cristobal Cardinal Lopez Romero, the Spanish-born Archbishop of Rabat, Morocco, of sexual violence, prompting the Vatican to open a formal investigation into the Pope Francis appointed Cardinal.
The episcopal consecrations by the Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X in Écône on July 1 have revived an old question: how many Catholics are attached to the FSSPX? The answer is surprisingly elusive. Depending on the source, estimates range from around 100,000 to as many as 600,000 faithful worldwide. The FSSPX itself continues to publish the figure of 600,000 faithful. However, the number of 600,000 comes from a speech delivered in 2007 by Cardinal Darío Castrillón Hoyos, then President of the Pontifical Commission Ecclesia Dei. Speaking to the Latin American bishops at Aparecida, he stated that the "Lefebvrian group" consisted of four bishops, 500 priests and 600,000 faithful. The number is difficult to reconcile with the FSSPX’s infrastructure. The FSSPX has approximately 730 priests, about 180 priories and houses, and 750 chapels and Mass centres. Many of these chapels are small mission stations where Mass is celebrated only once or twice a month with few faithful. In 2019, Fr Pascal …Okuningi
I know in my Church it's packed during the three Masses held in the morning. And then there is one at night. Usually about half full. You will see people standing during the day. There is a nursing room also with mothers and small children as well as in the Vestibule. And also sometimes in a side room. It holds about 1,000 people or so I believe. We have 7 SSPX Church's in Florida. I would say, and would like to believe that there is at least 600,000 SSPX supporters and attendees.

The paradox being that in Austria (as well as in Germany) the Church as an institution receives way too much money. This is an exciting novelty for them to play at being poor, complete with a kiddy stole.

U.S. Ambassador to the Holy See Brian Burch has described an informal Independence Day dinner he hosted for Pope Leo XIV at his residence in Rome. Speaking with Italian media, Burch said the pope arrived at 7:30 p.m. on July 4, prayed with the ambassador's family, and shared a meal featuring American charcuterie, watermelon salad, Chicago-style hot dogs, apple pie, and gelato. Burch said Leo XIV approved of the menu. The pope arrived without aides or secretaries, accompanied only by two Vatican gendarmes. Burch said he invited Leo XIV to mark the 250th anniversary of the United States by hosting the first U.S.-born pope. The invitation was sent about two months before the dinner, and confirmation came about a month later. The ambassador also said Leo XIV still carries a Peruvian credit card, uses a cellphone, follows the Chicago White Sox, and sometimes wakes during the night to check soccer scores. The dinner took place the same day Leo XIV visited Lampedusa. Burch said the pope rejected …Okuningi
– Folha de S. Paulo, December 11, 1981 – by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira The TFPs in 13 countries of the New and Old Worlds have just published a Message to their respective nations on the topic of French self managing socialism. Appearing on the 9th of this month in the Washington Post and in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, the document was also scheduled for publication by the great newspapers of our country and others. I am writing on the 10th. As of this moment, those two initial publications have provoked a host of requests for television, radio and newspaper interviews in the most diverse countries. This makes one see the great degree of interest that the topic stirs up. I still do know any commentaries on the content of the Message in the foreign press. All I have are those of some Brazilian newspapers. The Brazilian TFP will publish the whole text of the Message, of which I am the author, as a paid advertisement in the Folha de São Paulo on the 17th of this month. Until then …Okuningi
"FSSPX Confessions Are Valid" - Müller Contradicts Tucho: On July 6, K-TV asked Cardinal Gerhard Müller whether confessions heard by priests of the Priestly Society of Saint Pius X are valid or invalid. Contrary to Cardinal Tucho Fernández, he replied: "The confessions are valid, but illicit. The power to forgive or retain sins is conferred through the sacrament of Holy Orders. Its exercise can only be restricted by the bishop or the Pope, as provided by canon law."

On July 6, Cardinal Müller spoke with K-TV about the Traditional Latin Mass and the FSSPX episcopal consecrations. Key statements: - "The implementation of the liturgical reform was marked by many abuses because many failed to grasp the spirit of the renewed liturgy and neglected its essential elements: the worship of God, the communication of salvation, and reverence before God." - "The so-called old rite is not forbidden. Rather, it is permitted to a certain extent and under certain conditions, and it is, of course, valid." - "Pope Benedict XVI made the wise decision that the same Latin liturgy could be celebrated in both its ordinary and extraordinary forms." - "The faithful always have the opportunity to attend the Holy Mass celebrated according to the older form." - "Many people may have sympathies for the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X because they believe that the Catholic faith and the liturgy are being preserved there against many of the abuses found in modernist circles.…Okuningi
“We must put an end to liturgical abuses that contradict the teachings of the Second Vatican Council,” Cardinal Antonio María Rouco Varela, 89, Archbishop Emeritus of Madrid, told LaNuovaBq.it on July 7. Furthermore, he called for “understanding for those who wish to attend the older rite” and for “respect for the freedom of the faithful within the communion of the Church” - that is, “not by imposing excessive regulations.” He described Pope Benedict XVI’s Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum (July 7, 2007) as “a very understanding and balanced measure, and I think it was a good one.” He added: “In Madrid there is still a church where the traditional rite is celebrated.” German Bishops Acting Against the Church On the German Synodal Way, Cardinal Rouco Varela said that “canon law has been stretched beyond its limits” and warned that the situation “affects the fundamental aspects of the faith.” If the planned synodal committee in Germany were to function as “a body exercising authority within …Okuningi
