Different [contradicting] religions are needed to “broaden the horizon of truth, according to the model of the polyhedron,” Cardinal George Jacob Koovakad, prefect of the Vatican’s Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue, said during a September 11 address at the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina (UCA). He urged believers to welcome “as a gift, the action of God in the other religions,” adding that in their “precepts and doctrines” is reflected “a ray of the truth that enlightens all men.” Such “reciprocal appreciation,” he said, “will enrich our own identity through the reception of the other.” Koovakad presented the different religions as jointly contributing to the construction of the “City of God.” Each person, he added, must ask how to collaborate in this “common project of humanity.” Koovakad dreams of “universal fraternity”.
“These are not times for entrenching ourselves in partial and fragmented visions of reality. We need one another in order to broaden the horizon of truth, according to the model of the polyhedron, which is capable of incorporating the totality of visions and perspectives in the search for the common good, without anyone being excluded or discarded.” - Cardinal George Jacob Koovakad, prefect of the Vatican’s Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue, delivered the address on September 11, 2026, at the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina (UCA) in Buenos Aires.
Italian priest Don Leonardo Pompei was declared excommunicated for schism on September 11 by the Diocese of Latina. The decision follows a penal process conducted under a mandate from the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith. The key issue is reflected in Pompei’s own words. In a public broadcast on September 5, 2025, he summarized what he had told his bishop: “I have come to the decision not to continue exercising my ministry within the hierarchical communion of the Catholic Church.”
Don Pompei is a traditional priest who rejects heresies and blasphemies. He wants to save souls through the traditional Catholic doctrine, and that's why he was apparently excommunicated by Prevost (pro-sodomite, installed by Bergoglio) and Tucho (homosexual) who are not Catholics. “The different religions […] offer a valuable contribution to the construction of fraternity,” Cardinal George Jacob Koovakad, prefect of the Vatican’s Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue, said on September 10 at the Buenos Aires City Legislature. Koovakad constructs a “Father of all”: “Interreligious dialogue offers us the possibility of opening ourselves to the Father of all.” He later added: “Together, the State, religions and the Catholic Church, we can share a common language [...].”

Cartusialover explains on September 11 how the Charterhouse offers a radical answer to a world drowning in noise: silence, solitude and prayer. At first, the cell is a refuge. It shuts out noise, distraction and the demands of modern life. The monks call this phase the “Tender Mother.” But the comfort does not last. Soon the same walls become demanding. The routine remains. The view does not change. Prayer can feel dry. God can seem distant. The cell becomes the “Strict Teacher.” There is nowhere to hide. Regrets return. Illusions collapse. Sin is exposed. “Silence is a confrontation with the sad realities within us,” says Dom Lorenzo Maria. Yet the Carthusian does not see this darkness as failure, but as purification: “We rise and we fall,” the Desert Fathers said. The cell strips away the false God made in man’s own image—a God who is always comforting, manageable and predictable—and teaches the monk to seek the real God, the absolute Other.

Msgr. Roger Landry, 55, a prominent conservative U.S. priest, has been restricted from public ministry following non-sexual misconduct allegations by “multiple individuals.” The Diocese of Fall River said on September 11 that the allegations involve adults and possible violations of priestly codes of conduct in both Fall River and the Archdiocese of New York. After an initial investigation in New York, the diocese said there was “sufficient evidence” to impose restrictions while the case continues. Landry, who has also celebrated the traditional Roman Rite, denies wrongdoing. He says the accusations essentially concern alleged boundary violations between spiritual direction and friendship.
The Diocese of Fall River, Mass., announced Friday that Msgr. Roger Landry has been restricted from public ministry after allegations of misconduct were made against the priest by 'multiple individuals.'

Katherine Bennett tells it like it is: «I don’t see why I should have to get fat if I eat fatty foods. I don’t see why I should have to get pregnant if I have sex. I don’t see why I should have to be rejected from Cambridge if I didn’t earn top grades. I don’t see why I can’t get married if I’m gay. I don’t see why I can’t be a pilot if I’m blind… OK, that last one is a stretch, but the sentiment is the same. In other words: I don’t like the natural consequences, so they must somehow be frustrated artificially. And this is what we have done. Unlike wise parents, who recognise that an infant cannot have whatever he wants — either because it is impossible or because constantly relenting will stunt his flourishing — we have become the parents who give in to every whinge, every tear and every complaint simply to pacify the child. We will even invent things to shield him from the consequences of his choices. What kind of person does that child become? We all know. Roald Dahl knew when he …Daha çox
War Against the Ancient Mass Is Destructive for the Church - Cardinal Sarah When the generation of the ’68ers passes away, the unfounded, one-sided attitudes against Latin and Gregorian chant will pass away as well, Cardinal Robert Sarah told IlGiornale.it on August 27. Benedict XVI’s liberalization of the Traditional Latin Mass had a positive and even corrective influence on abuses in the celebration of the Novus Ordo, Cardinal Sarah said. “Many priests testify that discovering the Extraordinary Form helped them to celebrate better.” Furthermore, the faithful could choose which form corresponded more closely to the fostering of the faith. “But all of this was brought to an abrupt end by Traditionis Custodes while the Pope Emeritus was still alive.” Francis’ restrictions on the Latin Mass were “neither a wise nor a respectful choice.” Cardinal Sarah added that access to “ritual forms that have existed for centuries can never be artificially restricted by decrees.” Without referring …Daha çox

Leo XIV Approves Maronite Archbishop of Damascus Today, Pope Leo XIV has approved the election of Sharbel Ghattas Maroun as the new Maronite Catholic archbishop of Damascus. A Lebanese-born priest, he has spent much of his ministry in the United States. Archbishop Maroun, 64, was elected by the Synod of Bishops of the Maronite Church. He succeeds Archbishop Samir Nassar, 76, whose resignation was accepted by the synod. Since 2020, Maroun has served as protosyncellus, a senior position comparable to vicar general, of the Maronite Eparchy of Our Lady of Lebanon of Los Angeles. Born January 6, 1962, in Kfarselwan, Lebanon, Maroun briefly worked for Crédit Libanais bank. Older Brother, a Lebanese Forces Fighter, Helped Maroun During Civil War In 1975, Lebnen, the father, and the eldest brother Nassif joined the Kataeb (Phalange) party and took up arms to defend their home. Leo XIV’s Prayer Intention Is … for the Care of Water: In September 2026, Leo XIV invites Catholics around the world to pray for the care of water. In his monthly prayer intention, he reminds Christians that access to clean water should be a right. “We beg forgiveness that it has been turned into a commodity, forgetting that it is a universal gift, a right without borders.” He encourages Christians to reject waste and pollution and to use natural resources responsibly. Caring for water, he says, is both an expression of love for creation and an act of solidarity with the poor.
The Pope’s Prayer intention for the month of September is to pray for care of water: “Lord of Life, you have given us the gift of water, source of fruitfulness, freshness, and hope. It quenches thirst, nourishes the earth, and heals wounds. We thank you because it is also a symbol of your grace and love that renews us through baptism. Today, we ask you to teach us to safeguard it with gratitude, justice, and responsibility. Forgive us for turning it into a commodity, forgetting that it is a universal gift, a right without borders, meant for all your children. We see with pain, so many brothers and sisters, who lack clean water, who walk for miles to find it, who become ill due to its scarcity. May your Spirit make us pilgrims of the essential, able to live with simplicity, denouncing waste and pollution, defending the right of every brother and sister to drink without fear and without inequality. May our care for water, be a sign of love for the Creator, and a commitment to the lives of …Daha çox

Israeli Settler Who Attacked French Catholic Nun Acquitted The Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court has acquitted Yona Simcha Schreiber, 36, of criminal responsibility for a violent attack on a French Catholic nun in April. The court accepted psychiatric evidence that he was psychotic at the time of the assault. He could neither understand the nature of his actions nor control them, the court ruled. He was ordered to undergo compulsory psychiatric hospitalization for up to six years. The attack occurred on Mount Zion, near King David’s Tomb outside Jerusalem’s Old City. Security footage showed Schreiber running toward the 48-year-old nun from behind and knocking her violently to the ground, causing her head to strike the stone pavement. Schreiber initially walked away before returning and kicking the nun while she remained on the ground. He also assaulted a passerby who attempted to intervene. The victim is a researcher at the Dominican-run École Biblique et Archéologique Française de Jérusalem. …Daha çox
"Marriage Is Not an Ideal for Only a Few": Burke Challenges Amoris Laetitia Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke has called on Catholics to defend the sacrament of marriage and the Christian family even at the cost of suffering. Preaching on July 25 at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Wisconsin, the cardinal encouraged married couples to embrace their vocation as a path to holiness. "The grace of Holy Matrimony is not an ideal to which only a few can aspire," he said, "but an objective reality, a supernatural gift, which leads husband and wife to seek each other's eternal salvation along the path of divine love." The cardinal concluded: "Let us be ready for martyrdom, if not the red martyrdom of blood, certainly the white martyrdom of faithful witness to Our Lord in the face of indifference, ridicule, and persecution." Cardinal Burke's appeal comes just two months before the Vatican's October meeting convened by Pope Leo XIV to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Amoris laetitia. In this …Daha çox

Enough bishops will be found in the world to ordain our seminarians: this I know. Even if at the moment he is keeping quiet, one or another of these bishops will receive from the Holy Ghost the courage needed to arise in his turn. If my work is of God, He will guard it and use it for the good of the Church. Our Lord has promised us, the gates of Hell shall not prevail against her.
