Francis to Male Caregiver in Concubinage: “Do They Give You Communion?”

“Pope Francis was like a second father to me, and I still miss him deeply,” said his nurse, Massimiliano Strappetti, 56, in an interview with Corriere.it on April 19.
Francis hated hospital stays and joked whenever he had to go to Gemelli Hospital: “You’ll see—the cardinals are preparing the conclave now.”
“Every morning when he woke up, he would ask me, ‘Hello, who died today?’ That was just how he was,” Strappetti recalled.
One day, Strappetti told Francis that he was divorced and living with another woman. The pope replied: “And what’s the problem?”
He then asked: “Do they let you receive Communion? If not, tell me the names of those priests who refuse - I’ll go speak to them myself!”
For Strappetti, Francis was a “surprising” pope.

St. Louis de Montfort - April 28
Priest (1673 - 1716)
Saint Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort
(31 January 1673 – 28 April 1716) was a French Roman Catholic priest and confessor. He was known in his time as a preacher and was made a missionary apostolic by Pope Clement XI. He was born in Montfort-sur-Meu, the eldest surviving child of eighteen born to Jean-Baptiste and Jeanne Robert Grignion. His father was a notary.
Louis-Marie passed most of his infancy and early childhood in Iffendic, a few kilometers from Montfort, where his father had bought a farm. At the age of 12, he entered the Jesuit College of St. Thomas Becket in Rennes, where his uncle was a parish priest. He was then given the opportunity, through a benefactor, to go to Paris to study at the renowned Seminary of Saint-Sulpice. When he arrived in Paris, it was to find that his benefactor had not provided enough money for him, so he lodged in a succession of boarding houses, living among the very poor, in the meantime attending …

1 February (Baptism of Saint Louis)
Profile
Born poor. Studied in Paris, France, and ordained in 1700. While a seminarian he delighted in researching the writings of Church Fathers, Doctors and Saints as they related to the Blessed Virgin Mary, to whom he was singularly devoted.
Under Mary‘s inspiration, he founded the Daughters of Divine Wisdom, a religious institute of women devoted to the care of the desititute, and a brother organization, the Brothers of Saint Gabriel. During this work, he began his apostolate of preaching the Rosary and authentic Marian devotion. He preached so forcefully and effectively against the errors of Jansenism that he was expelled from several dioceses in France. In Rome Pope Clement XI conferred on him the title and authority of Missionary Apostolic, which enabled him to continue his apostolate after returning to France. He preached Mary everywhere and to everyone. A member …Дукха

Leo XIV Won’t Stop German Homosex Blessings – German Theologian

Following recent remarks from Leo XIV, theologian Thomas Söding, a layman, sees "no threat" to the blessing of homosexual couples in Germany. He has been one of the best-known voices linked to the German Synod.
Speaking to Deutschlandfunk on April 27, Söding said: “What can and should happen with homosexual couples in Germany has been agreed with Rome — and that will not change.”
According to Söding, Leo XIV’s concern is ensuring that blessings are not confused with marriage, stressing that the distinction upheld by Rome is also reflected in German pastoral guidelines.
Munich Cardinal Reinhard Marx had recently forced his clergy to perform or enable homosexual blessings. According to Söding, such blessings have “long been common practice” in many German dioceses. The real issue, Söding said, is transparency: “The question is whether people talk about it openly or not.”
Cardinal Marx’s move creates “more clarity - and that is a good thing.”

Leo XIV managed to top Francis! “As my beloved predecessor, Pope Francis, said to the Primates of the Anglican Communion in 2024, ‘it would be a scandal if, due to our divisions, we [leaders of the Conciliar-Synodal church and Anglican sect] did not fulfill our common vocation [!!!] to make Christ known’ (Address to Primates of the Anglican Communion, 2 May 2024).”

Leo XIV on Anglican Dialogue: Overcoming Differences, No Matter How Intractable They Seem

Meeting for the first time with Anglican Dame Sarah Mullally, who holds the title Archbishop of Canterbury, Leo XIV encourages Catholics and Anglicans to proclaim Christ together.
They prayed together in the Urban VIII Chapel in the Apostolic Palace.
Leo XIV spoke about a fake archbishop who was an Anglican layman, and a pope who was far from saintly.
“When archbishop Michael Ramsey and Saint Pope Paul VI announced the first theological dialogue between Anglicans and Catholics [in 1966], they spoke of seeking the ‘restoration of complete communion in faith and sacramental life’. Certainly this ecumenical journey has been complex. While much progress has been made on some historically divisive issues, new problems have arisen in recent decades, rendering the pathway to full communion more difficult to discern.
I know that the Anglican Communion is also facing many of these same questions at this time.
Nevertheless, we must not allow these continuing challenges to prevent us from using …Дукха

"Many European Abbeys Will Disappear" - Norbertine Abbot General

Many European abbeys will disappear in the near future, Abbot Jos Wouters of the Norbertine monastic order, told ND.nl on 22 April. He is the abbot general of 38 abbeys worldwide.
The interview was prompted by reporting on conditions in Berne Abbey, Netherlands, where there is said to have been a years-long culture of fear and power struggles.
Abbot Wouters notes that monasteries are receiving fewer and fewer vocations.
According to him, interested people are increasingly psychologically vulnerable individuals: "Out of a survival instinct, abbeys accept such people, even though they are completely unsuitable."
Abbot Wouters believes that his order is incapable of properly training individuals with "baggage".
He warns that such people compensate for their "inner weakness" by becoming overly bossy.
"Religion then functions like an exoskeleton, as with a lobster, which has no skeleton inside: it is hard on the outside to hide the weakness within."

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 10,22-30.
The feast of the Dedication was taking place in Jerusalem. It was winter.
And Jesus walked about in the temple area on the Portico of Solomon.
So the Jews gathered around him and said to him, "How long are you going to keep us in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly."
Jesus answered them, "I told you and you do not believe. The works I do in my Father's name testify to me.
But you do not believe, because you are not among my sheep.
My sheep hear my voice; I know them, and they follow me.
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish. No one can take them out of my hand.
My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one can take them out of the Father's hand.
The Father and I are one."

Archdiocese to Pastors: Raise Millions for Sexual Abuse Victims Or Go Bankrupt

The Archdiocese of New York may be going bankrupt. The shocking news stunned pastors who were summoned to a recent emergency, all-hands meeting in which they were told that, despite real estate selloffs and cost cutting, the $300 million fund to pay off past victims of sexual abuse by priests and lay personnel was still hundreds of millions of dollars short of what is needed to reach a global settlement.
That woeful underfunding comes despite the Diocese having sold off over $800 million worth of real estate over the past two years. Pastors received the devastating news on April 17 at the sprawling 40-acre St. Joseph College and Seminary in Yonkers, NY
Collectively the pastors, who head up about 200 parishes in Manhattan, the Bronx, Staten Island and seven upstate counties, were told at the meeting that they will have to dip into their own parish coffers to collectively raise hundreds of millions more–perhaps as much as $400 million more. If the parishes cannot meet the goal, the pastors …

Talking to Gloria.tv, Bishop Athanasius Schneider asks Pope Leo XIV to permit the episcopal consecrations of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X. Since Leo XIV continually calls for peace in the world, the bishop argues that he should also foster peace within the Church. If he cannot make peace with the faithful and clergy of the FSSPX — Catholics who love and pray for the Pope — then his appeals for peace will lose credibility. Bishop Schneider therefore recommends that the Pope allow the consecrations as a gesture of reconciliation and to build bridges with the FSSPX, with whom he should continue discussions towards a lasting solution.

Acts of the Apostles 11,19-26.
Those who had been scattered by the persecution that arose because of Stephen went as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to no one but Jews.
There were some Cypriots and Cyrenians among them, however, who came to Antioch and began to speak to the Greeks as well, proclaiming the Lord Jesus.
The hand of the Lord was with them and a great number who believed turned to the Lord.
The news about them reached the ears of the church in Jerusalem, and they sent Barnabas to go to Antioch.
When he arrived and saw the grace of God, he rejoiced and encouraged them all to remain faithful to the Lord in firmness of heart,
for he was a good man, filled with the Holy Spirit and faith. And a large number of people was added to the Lord.
Then he went to Tarsus to look for Saul,
and when he had found him he brought him to Antioch. For a whole year they met with the church and taught a large number of people, and it was in Antioch that the disciples were …

THE REAL WAR NOBODY WANTS TO NAME
On Christ, Antichrist, the Errors of Russia, and the Shape of Reality
There is a war going on. You can feel it. Most people can feel it even if they cannot name it. And because they cannot name it, they name the wrong thing.
They say it is a war between races. Or between nations. Or between the globalists and the patriots. Or between Islam and the West. Or between men and women. Or between the rich and the poor.
None of that is wrong exactly. But none of it is the real thing. Those are the shadows of the war, not the war itself.
The real war is between Christ and Antichrist.
And if that language does not work for you yet, try this: it is the war between reason and unreason. Between the natural order and the war on that order. Between those who accept that reality has a shape — and those who have declared war on that shape. Christ and reason are not two different things. They are the same thing. That is the claim this piece is built on, and it is worth …Дукха

‘The Complete Visions of Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich’ ~ ‘The bitter passion of our Lord Jesus Christ’ ~ part 1 ~ MEDITATION I ⅈ ‘Preparations for the Pasch’

[Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich; XVIII-XIX Century; born: 8 September 1774 Flamschen, Coesfeld, Prince-Bishopric of Münster, Holy Roman Empire/ died: 9 February 1824 (aged 49), Dülmen, Kingdom of Prussia, German Confederation; mystic, Marian visionary and stigmatist; Roman Catholic Augustinian canoness]
“MEDITATION I. ~ Preparations for the Pasch
Holy Thursday, the 13th Nisan (29th of March).
Yesterday evening it was that the last great public repast of our Lord and his friends took place in the house of Simon the Leper, at Bethania,
and Mary Magdalen for the last time anointed the feet of Jesus with precious ointment. Judas was scandalised upon this occasion, and hastened forthwith to Jerusalem again to conspire with the high-priests for the betrayal of Jesus into their hands. After the repast, Jesus returned to the house of Lazarus, and some of the Apostles went to the inn situated beyond Bethania. During the night Nicodemus again came to Lazarus’ house, had a long conversation with …Дукха

"The disciples had already asked Jesus where he would eat the Pasch. To-day, before dawn, our Lord sent for Peter, James, and John, spoke to them at some length concerning all they had to prepare and order at Jerusalem, and told them that when ascending Mount Sion, they would meet the man carrying a pitcher of water. They were already well acquainted with this man, for at the last Pasch, at Bethania, it had been he who prepared the meal for Jesus, and this is why St. Matthew says: a certain man. They were to follow him home, and say to him: the Master saith, My time is near at hand, with thee I make the Pasch with my disciples (Matt. 26:18). They were than to be shown the supper-room, and make all necessary preparations."

"MEDITATION II. ~ The Supper-Room.
On the southern side of Mount Sion, not far from the ruined Castle of David, and the market held on the ascent leading to that Castle, there stood, towards the east, an ancient and solid building, between rows of thick trees, in the midst of a spacious court surrounded by strong walls. To the right and left of the entrance, other buildings were to be seen adjoining the wall, particularly to the right, where stood the dwelling of the major-domo, and close to it the house in which the Blessed Virgin and the holy women spent most of their time after the death of Jesus. The supper-room, which was originally larger, had formerly been inhabited by David’s brave captains, who had there learned the use of arms."
