Church authorities are examining a possible Eucharistic miracle after a consecrated Host placed in water reportedly failed to dissolve and subsequently developed reddish stains that “could be blood”, the Cathedral Parish of El Niño Dios in Cuilapa, Guatemala, has announced on August 22. The parish is the cathedral of the Diocese of Santa Rosa de Lima. The incident began on July 30, during a Missionary Eucharistic Week. A priest was celebrating the Eucharist at a private school when he noticed that a teenage student, after receiving Holy Communion, was removing the Host from his mouth. The priest intervened before the student could throw it to the ground. Following the procedure used in such cases, the priest placed the Host in a glass of water in the chapel of the parish house so that it could dissolve. When the chapel was cleaned the following Thursday, however, a parish worker found that the Host had not dissolved and noticed reddish stains which appeared as though they might be blood …بیشتر
St Thomas Aquinas says an image should have three simultaneous qualities: 1. Likeness to the prototype. 2. Derivation from it. 3. Similarity of species with it.....THE ICON VERSUS ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
Today, Vice President J.D. Vance attended a Mass in the Roman rite with his family at Old St. Mary’s Church in Cincinnati, reports Crisis Magazine editor Eric Sammons on x.com, who was present. “It was nice to see J.D. Vance and his beautiful family at Mass this morning,” Sammons wrote on X on August 23. Sammons said Vance lives nearby and that his family attends several Cincinnati-area parishes when in town. He added that this was Vance’s first visit to Old St. Mary’s since becoming vice president. Vance’s presence brought additional security. According to Sammons, Secret Service agents screened everyone entering the church with handheld wands and checked bags. Sammons said the screening caused only a minute or two of waiting, describing the agents as “professional, efficient, and quite friendly. He also noted that he had heard Vance say his family deliberately varies which churches it attends to avoid repeatedly inconveniencing parishioners at any one parish. #newsBibrwcfcti
– Folha de S. Paulo, April 18, 1978 – by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira This is a “sui generis” article. It is not a dissertation on a single theme in the classical mold but a confetti of information on various facts, each accompanied by a “minimum” of commentary. The common thread running through the entire article is that either the facts or the commentary have not been reported domestically. Almost all of these facts concern communist China. Preceding these news items from so far away are two comments on news from home. Widely reported, to be sure, but crying out for a quick gloss. 1. The unexpected result of the French elections – so different from what public opinion polls had predicted – showed the world that people’s genuine aspirations are often misrepresented or presented in a biased way. In fact, we don’t need to look far to see this for ourselves. June 1977: The Brazilian Congress is about to vote on a divorce bill. Some people in Catholic circles talk about calling a referendum,…بیشتر
The Society of Saint Pius X has built a new church in Atlanta, designed to accommodate 500 worshippers. It is designed in a neoclassical style and draws inspiration from Roman basilicas, although some Baroque elements are planned.
Not to be disrespectful, and I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but the church looks like a New England Protestant (Congregational) church. What is in the inside of this church is the most important aspect.
Leo XIV: "Faith Is Not Given Once and for All" At today’s Angelus, Leo XIV appeared to blur the distinction between the objective content of the Faith and its subjective appropriation: “Faith is not something given to us once and for all. Rather, we continually need to rediscover the face of Christ.” He then urged the faithful not to retreat into religious certainties, adding: “When it comes to the Christian faith, we may be content with […] what has been handed down to us.” Instead, Leo advocated “friendship with Jesus” through an “ever-new encounter”: “This may also ask us to follow unfamiliar paths and to make choices different from those we had imagined. This is true both for our personal journey and for the journey of the Church, as well as for our pastoral choices, when we may sometimes think that it is enough simply to continue doing things as we have always done them.”
Two short video quotes from today's Angelus: Leo XIV offers unusual definitions of faith, suggesting that focusing on what has been handed down to us is insufficient.
"when we may sometimes think that it is enough simply to continue doing things as we have always done them" Do not simply continue going to the Novus Ordo. Instead, attend the Tridentine Mass!

Prof. Bray’s “Christianity in Britain and Ireland” Reformed Theology (#3951): Prof. Bray’s “Christianity in Britain and Ireland” Psalm 119.8: I will keep Your statutes; Oh, do not forsake me utterly! Prof. Bray continues to discuss the history of Christianity in Britain and Ireland, particularly the efforts of Malachy to reform the Irish church in the 12th century. He discussed Malachy's consecration, his friendship with Bernard of Clairvaux, and his establishment of Cistercian monasteries in Ireland. The reorganization of Irish dioceses was a key topic, along with the challenges posed by small, poor dioceses and political disunity. The session also covered the Anglo-Norman invasion of Ireland and its impact on the church, as well as the ongoing debate about papal authorization for English rule. In Scotland, the development of the church was influenced by English and Norman practices, with figures like Queen Margaret and King David I playing significant roles. The meeting highlighted …بیشتر
Auxiliary Bishop Rob Mutsaerts of ’s-Hertogenbosch spoke with AdVaticanum.com on August 22 about the Synod and the decline of Catholicism in the Netherlands. Main quotes. - “Walking together” is valuable only if the Church knows where she is walking. The destination is not increased participation but Christ. - Consultation, participation, pastoral structures and synodal methods all have their place. Once the means start occupying more attention than the end, something has become inverted. - The Church possesses something unusual among institutions: she has received a Revelation which she did not invent and cannot rewrite. - The missing words in the Synod are repentance and conversion. - The synodal process did not create the Western European crisis. But after several years, there is little evidence that it has found an effective remedy for it. The medicine resembles the disease! - Nobody needs Christianity in order to learn that meetings should be inclusive. - Dutch statistics report …بیشتر
There is evidence that Einstein got most of his theories from his Orthodox Christian first wife, who was also a physicist. After his early publications he divorced her and married a European Jew. Whatever the truth is, Einstein is not a Semite, but a European Jew.
More than 2,300 Catholics took part in Argentina’s 17th Pilgrimage of Our Lady of Christendom from August 15–17. Inspired by the Paris–Chartres pilgrimage in France, this year’s pilgrimage set a new attendance record. The pilgrims covered approximately 100 kilometres from the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Rawson, in Buenos Aires Province, to the Basilica of Our Lady of Luján, Argentina’s national Marian shrine. Mass in the traditional Roman rite was celebrated each day at outdoor altars along the route. The traditional Mass was not permitted inside the Basilica of Our Lady of Luján. The pilgrimage instead concluded at the basilica on August 17 with Eucharistic adoration and the Rosary. Several prominent clergy took part in the pilgrimage. - Fr. Raúl Olazábal, of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest, celebrated Mass on the first day, the Feast of the Assumption. - Fr. Augustin-Marie Aubry, prior of the Fraternity of Saint Vincent Ferrer in Chémeré, France, celebrated …بیشتر
Christendom College Alumna Seeks to Restore Beauty and Truth to the Fashion Industry: ‘Fashion [is] actually a unique expression of man’s rational and social nature. It is only as rational beings that we are able to perceive beauty and attempt in an infinite number of ways to try and express it.’
That's the good thing about classical education--it produces people with the foundation to reflect on all the ways they could use their intelligence and imaginations to serve God in a way few had ever thought of before.
Does Leo XIV Embrace Borderless Globalism? “People always come before borders, before definitions and institutions,” said Leo XIV at the Meeting for Friendship Among Peoples in Rimini, Italy, on Saturday. “This realization stands at the center of Christianity,” he continued with more platitudes, adding: “Evil is not fought with evil. It is time to oppose the false realism that rearms minds, words, and nations with the realism of mercy.”

Revelation 21:21 indicates, albeit metaphorically, that Heaven has 'pearly gates'. I suppose he is in favor of the gates of Hell prevailing against those, as well.
Prevost, UN henchman (accomplice): The mass migration, which is really a crime against our European peoples and ultimately spells the death of Catholic culture, is sugarcoated here by Prevost in an unbearable LEFTIST way.

Woman Distributes Communion at Leo XIV’s Eucharist — One Communicant Bare-Chested During the Eucharist celebrated by Leo XIV this evening at the Port of Rimini, a woman was spreading Communion in the hand as if it were cookies. One male attendee even received Communion bare-chested, without a shirt.
The Safety Valve of the Holy Spirit: How Vatican II’s "Pastoral" Shield Preserved the Faith For sixty years, the Catholic faithful have been told to bow before a new deity: the elusive, shape-shifting "Spirit of Vatican II." We have been assured that the twenty-first ecumenical council was a rupture, a foundational reboot that dragged a reluctant, medieval Church into the glorious light of modern progressivism. The progressive wing of the Church has weaponized the Council's documents to construct a confusing, distorted Church on the ashes of the old. But their revolution possesses a fatal, architectural flaw. In their haste to remake the Church in the image of the secular world, the architects of this modern experiment forgot a fundamental rule of Catholic theology. By explicitly, repeatedly, and formally defining the Second Vatican Council as a strictly pastoral council, the Popes of the mid-twentieth century unwittingly revealed the ultimate proof of divine intervention. The Holy …بیشتر
The Catholic Biblical Association has elected as its president a distinguished scholar who openly says: “I do not believe in Jesus as Lord.” There is nothing scandalous about Amy-Jill Levine saying that, she is admirably honest. She is a practising Jew. The extraordinary question is why an association constitutionally committed to Catholic biblical scholarship thinks the confession that Jesus Christ is Lord is apparently unnecessary for its highest office. At some point, we have to ask: what is the word “Catholic” actually doing?
1. Jüdin Präsidentin der Catholic Biblical Association Amy-Jill Levine, 1. jüdische Präsidentin der Catholic Biblical Association (USA): "I'm not a Christian. I'm not a Messianic Jew. I do not worship Jesus as Lord and Savior and for me the New Testament is not a Sacred Sripture. I will argue, I hope convincingly or at least I'm convinced that not all the comments the gospel writers attribute to Jesus were spken by him. I think they added some things." بیشتر
