🇫🇷 A two-metre-high, blood-red sculpture of Jesus Christ holding two Uzi submachine guns is on display at L’Aérosol in Marseille. The blasphemy was made by French provocateur James Colomina. It was initially placed outside the venue before being moved indoors. Colomina claims the armed Christ is an anti-violence statement.

The Spiritual Battle for True Womanhood
Fr. Altier emphasizes women's inherent value and strength, particularly mothers, highlighting their unique role in creation as the closest beings to God because of their capacity for love. He expresses concern about societal attitudes towards women, particularly in light of a recent case where a woman killed her children, arguing that such actions are a rejection of their divine purpose and a consequence of extreme ideologies. He criticizes the notion that women should have absolute power over life and death, drawing parallels to the biblical story of Adam and Eve and the temptation to be like God.
He further states that the decline of society and the church is linked to the erosion of women’s morality, which is seen as the foundation of both. Satan has deceived women into rejecting their true nature and embracing a masculine ideal, leading to societal imbalance and anger. Women are urged to embrace their femininity, reject Satan’s lies, and live …níos mó

European bishops sidestep ‘Traditionis Custodes’, continuing traditional Latin Masses in parish churches without Vatican dispensation.
Last week, the Dicastery for Divine Worship published all its decrees from 2025, including permissions for the 1962 Roman Missal in parish churches.
The list shows permissions for 55 parishes in 33 dioceses. 41 of the parish-church locations in the 2025 decrees are in the United States - about 75%.
France is conspicuously absent from the 2025 index despite its importance among Catholics.
No parish church in Paris appears among the Dicastery’s published dispensations in 2023, 2024 or 2025.
Obviously, there are Masses. In the Paris parish of Saint-Eugène–Sainte-Cécile, the old Mass has been celebrated since the 1980s and remains part of the daily and Sunday schedule. Sainte-Odile also lists a Sunday Mass in the 1962 rite.
Another example is London, England. No dispensation for a London parish church appears in the Dicastery’s published indexes for 2023,…níos mó

The Infinite Ocean
I remember when I was in highschool, the school took us to a catholic retreat, the confessional was open and it was my turn, an old priest was waiting, I sat down and pour my sins in the open, that confession was like any other... Repeat offender? Yeah, Did I want to get better? Sure, but the only thing I remember about this particular confession was what happened at the end... The priest took his hand and put it exactly where my heart is and said to me: "Remember this, Jesus loves you, He loves you."
My heart started to burn, literally... The sensation or the feel of this fire burning my heart from the inside out was surprising yes, ethereal and magnific... There and then I knew Love.
This actually happened to me, such an unworthy human being, no humility, no holiness, no nothing just a sad clown looking to roll with the world, while my Lord waited and waited and waited and still... waits on me, this sack of unworthiness, I wish the Love I was shown in my heart would've …níos mó

📢 Marko Rupnik’s new monumental mosaic façade was inaugurated (!) at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Aparecida in Brazil. Yesterday evening, the shrine unveiled the basilica’s 4,000-square-metre west façade. The project began in 2019 and continued after allegations of sexual and psychological abuse against Rupnik became public. The north façade was inaugurated in 2022, the south in 2024 and the east in 2025. Meanwhile, the sanctuary of Lourdes in France has covered Rupnik’s mosaics, citing consideration for victims of abuse.

Last night in Aparecida, Brazil, the final monumental mosaic façade created by the Centro Aletti — founded by Marko Rupnik — was officially inaugurated. While Rupnik’s mosaics are being covered in Lourdes, his artistic legacy is being unveiled on a monumental scale in Brazil.

Forgiveness Frees Your Soul From Resentment
The second reading emphasizes that we are called to live for others, not ourselves, and that forgiveness is a crucial aspect of this. Forgiveness is challenging, but it is essential for our own spiritual well-being and for aligning ourselves with Christ’s teachings. Holding onto anger and resentment only hurts us, not the person who wronged us.
Forgiveness is a crucial aspect of Christian teaching, requiring one person to forgive and two to reconcile. A process of forgiveness involves asking the Holy Spirit for guidance, acknowledging the hurt, separating the person from their actions, and renouncing negative beliefs and judgments. This process culminates in asking Jesus for forgiveness, blessing the offender, and seeking healing for oneself.

Bishop Strickland about Vatican 2 and Bishop Lefebvre
“GO AND REPAIR MY HOUSE, WHICH, AS YOU SEE, IS FALLING INTO RUIN”
Dear Sons and Daughters in Christ,

I know that some of you believe I have changed.
Some fear that I have crossed over to “the other side.”
Some wonder whether, after years of speaking plainly and courageously about the crisis in the Church, defending the traditional Roman liturgy, questioning what was done in the name of the Second Vatican Council, and speaking openly about Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre, I am now retreating from those convictions.
Some of you may even feel betrayed.
So before I say anything else, I want to say this plainly:
I have not moved.
The words Christ spoke to St. Francis at San Damiano – “Go and repair my house, which, as you see, is falling into ruin” – have weighed heavily upon my heart.
I have not forgotten what happened to the Church.
I have not forgotten what happened to the sacred liturgy, to Catholic catechesis, to religious life, to priestly …níos mó

Bishop Strickland "There is a phrase Catholics have heard for more than sixty years. “Vatican II changed that.”
Why don’t we hear Latin anymore? Vatican II.
Why did the Mass change? Vatican II.
Why did Gregorian chant disappear from so many Catholic churches? Vatican II.
Why did practices surrounding Holy Communion change? Vatican II.
Why did sanctuaries change? Vatican II.
Why did so many customs Catholics had known for generations suddenly disappear?
Again and again, the answer was simply, “Vatican II.”
Those two words became an explanation for almost everything that happened in Catholic life in the years following the Council. But lately I have been wondering whether that explanation is the right one. Not because Vatican II called for no change. It certainly did. But because when we actually sit down and read the documents of the Council, something interesting begins to happen.
We discover that some things commonly attributed to Vatican II are not actually in Vatican II. Other things …níos mó

Leo XIV Approves Maronite Archbishop of Damascus
Today, Pope Leo XIV has approved the election of Sharbel Ghattas Maroun as the new Maronite Catholic archbishop of Damascus. A Lebanese-born priest, he has spent much of his ministry in the United States.
Archbishop Maroun, 64, was elected by the Synod of Bishops of the Maronite Church. He succeeds Archbishop Samir Nassar, 76, whose resignation was accepted by the synod.
Since 2020, Maroun has served as protosyncellus, a senior position comparable to vicar general, of the Maronite Eparchy of Our Lady of Lebanon of Los Angeles.
Born January 6, 1962, in Kfarselwan, Lebanon, Maroun briefly worked for Crédit Libanais bank.

Leo XIV has accepted the early resignation of Bishop Guido Gallese, 64, of Alessandria, Northern Italy, today. Bishop Luigi Testore of neighboring Acqui is the new apostolic administrator.
Monsignor Gallese was appointed as Ecclesiastical Assistant to the National Association of Shrines by the Dicastery for Evangelisation.
Gallese’s resignation comes eight months after an apostolic visitation by Cardinal Giuseppe Bertello. No report from Bertello’s visitation was published.
ANSA reported that complaints about Bishop Gallese had accumulated in Rome over several years and that the visitation examined diocesan administration and finances, including major property projects.
The visitation generated overstated headlines over Gallese’s lifestyle: his Tesla, motorcycle, kitesurfing and residence were repeatedly cited in Italian media.
However, the deeper conflict appears to have involved Gallese’s governance. Local media described strong opposition from the clergy, particularly over parish …níos mó

Leo XIV’s Prayer Intention Is … for the Care of Water: In September 2026, Leo XIV invites Catholics around the world to pray for the care of water. In his monthly prayer intention, he reminds Christians that access to clean water should be a right. “We beg forgiveness that it has been turned into a commodity, forgetting that it is a universal gift, a right without borders.” He encourages Christians to reject waste and pollution and to use natural resources responsibly. Caring for water, he says, is both an expression of love for creation and an act of solidarity with the poor.

The Pope’s Prayer intention for the month of September is to pray for care of water: “Lord of Life, you have given us the gift of water, source of fruitfulness, freshness, and hope. It quenches thirst, nourishes the earth, and heals wounds. We thank you because it is also a symbol of your grace and love that renews us through baptism. Today, we ask you to teach us to safeguard it with gratitude, justice, and responsibility. Forgive us for turning it into a commodity, forgetting that it is a universal gift, a right without borders, meant for all your children. We see with pain, so many brothers and sisters, who lack clean water, who walk for miles to find it, who become ill due to its scarcity. May your Spirit make us pilgrims of the essential, able to live with simplicity, denouncing waste and pollution, defending the right of every brother and sister to drink without fear and without inequality. May our care for water, be a sign of love for the Creator, and a commitment to the lives of …níos mó

September 13 Saint John Chrysostom.
breski1 Bishop of Constantinople, Doctor of the Church (344-407)Saint John Chrysostom, born in Antioch in 344, was endowed with a superior genius strengthened by a brilliant education. In order to break with a world which admired and courted him, in 374 he retired for six years to a neighboring mountain, having found Christ through his friendship with Saint Basil. After acquiring the art of Christian silence, he returned to Antioch and there labored as a priest under the direction of its bishop. His eloquence was such that the entire city, up to a hundred thousand listeners, came to hear him, a young man not yet thirty years old. He fled this popularity and adopted the monastic life for fourteen years, until he was taken forcibly to Constantinople, to be consecrated Patriarch of the imperial city in 398.
The effect of his sermons was everywhere marvelous. He converted a large number of pagans and heretics by his eloquence, then in its most brilliant …níos mó

Saint John Chrysostom (1)
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
This year is the 16th centenary of St John Chrysostom's death (407-2007). It can be said that John of Antioch, nicknamed "Chrysostom", that is, "golden-mouthed", because of his eloquence, is also still alive today because of his works. An anonymous copyist left in writing that "they cross the whole globe like flashes of lightening".
Chrysostom's writings also enable us, as they did the faithful of his time whom his frequent exiles deprived of his presence, to live with his books, despite his absence. This is what he himself suggested in a letter when he was in exile (To Olympias, Letter 8, 45).
He was born in about the year 349 A.D. in Antioch, Syria (today Antakya in Southern Turkey). He carried out his priestly ministry there for about 11 years, until 397, when, appointed Bishop of Constantinople, he exercised his episcopal ministry in the …níos mó
