Traditional Latin Mass celebrated in Kerala, India. On October 2, Fr. Melvin Watts FSSP, celebrated the Latin Mass at the Poor Clares’ Convent in Ernakulam, Kerala. He is a priest with family roots in Kochi and Kottayam, who holds a German passport. Fr. Watts, a former banker, visited his ancestral homeland during his annual vacation. The Mass was offered for the cloistered nuns and faithful, with the permission of Archbishop Joseph Kalathiparambil of Verapoly.

Bishop Schneider: Christ’s enemies have carried out “a hostile takeover” of the Church. At the Catholic Identity Conference in Pittsburgh on October 4, Bishop Athanasius Schneider delivered a diagnosis of the crisis in the Church, describing it as a “hostile takeover” from within. “We are witnesses of an unprecedented crisis of the Church,” Schneider said, pointing to “poisonous doctrinal ambiguities” and even “brazen heresies in the ranks of the high clergy”. “The world Christ warned of seems to have occupied the Church’s strategic administrative positions.
